Through games and workshops, the children learned about “Emi” the turtle, using educational materials developed under the LIFE URCA PROEMYS project. This EU-funded initiative, involving Sečovlje Salina Nature Park and eight partners from Slovenia and Italy, aims to improve the conservation status of this endangered species.
The school also received Slovenian and Italian copies of the illustrated book “The Adventures of Little Emi”, written by Iztok Škornik as part of the PROEMYS project.
