This morning, within the framework of the LIFE URCA (URgent Conservation Actions) PROEMYS project, 4 young European pond terrapins (Emys orbicularis ingauna) were released into the wild, after being bred and raised in a controlled environment to support their survival.
The release took place in a 600 m² pond created by the project within the WWF Oasis “I Valloni” in Villanova d’Albenga, located in the Natura2000 site IT1324896 “Lerrone – Valloni”.
