The Genoa Aquarium invites families to take part in a special event: a story, told using the kamishibai or ‘paper theatre’ technique, about the European pond turtle (Emys orbicularis), which is threatened by the release of the American pond turtle (Trachemys spp.) into the wild.
An activity to learn about and understand why exotic species threaten the survival of native species. An opportunity to explore the important issue of respect for and care of exotic pets. The event, included in the admission ticket, is scheduled for 3 pm and 4 pm on Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th in the Amphibians and Reptiles area of the Biodiversity Pavilion.
