Friday 27 September, in many European cities, will be held The Researcher’s night , an event designed to bring the world of research closer to all curious and interested people. Come and discover the projects that universities and research organisations are carrying out!
The Life URCA PROEMYS project, dedicated to the conservation of the pond terrapin Emys orbicularis, will be presented in Modena and Genoa:
📍 Modena: at the San Geminiano Complex, researchers from the Department of Life Science of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia will let you discover this threatened species up close, simulating field research activities with scientific instrumentation, observations and manipulation of biological samples.
📍 Genova: at the Acquario di Genova, you will discover how pond terrapins are reproduced and bred to be reintroduced into their natural habitat, with the possibility of observing the small terrapins.
An unmissable opportunity to enter the world of research and contribute to the conservation of a precious species!
